WHY SIMCERT EXISTS

Two certifications that define the simulation profession.

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) offers two professional certifications for people who make healthcare simulation work. The Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) recognizes the people who run simulation technology, manikins, audio-visual systems, and center operations. The Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) recognizes the people who design, facilitate, and debrief simulation-based education.

SimCert Practice Hub was created to support learners preparing for both. It gives you a safe place to practice: original scenario questions mapped to the 2024 exam blueprints, a full explanation for every answer, and scores by domain so you know where to focus. Mistakes here cost nothing, and every one teaches you something before exam day.

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) splits each certification exam into a few content areas called domains. The exam blueprint gives each domain a weight: the share of exam questions drawn from that area.

Example: CHSOS Domain II, Simulation Technology Operations, carries 35% of the exam, about 40 of 115 questions.

Every SimCert question is tagged with its domain. Timed sets follow the same weights, so your score per domain shows where to study next. A KSA code, such as II.E, points to one knowledge, skill, or ability statement listed under that domain in the blueprint.
